Marseille is looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer in our Firmware Development team who will be responsible for designing and developing FW for various SOC products in the areas of:

• Audio/video codec
• Image processing
• Encryption / Decryption
• Design and implement production level FW for highly integrated SOC for Digital Video products
• Help out in prototype board bring-up and debugging
• Contribution in the SOC architecture design phase
• Design firmware for chip qualification phase
• Co-work with SW and HW teams
• Good analytical and communication skills

Qualifications

• MS or higher degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
• Proficient in C, C++ and assembly language for ARM or MIPS
• Understand MPEG2, H264, VC-1 video compression standards and MPEG2 Transport layer
• Embedded RTOS
• Good knowledge of at least one scripting language (bash, Perl, Python)
• Experience with Linux development environment (makefiles, gdb, gtk+)
• 10+ years of experience

Skills

• Video processing experience (de-interlacing, scaling, filtering)
• Chip modeling in SW
• SOC architecture
• Linux device driver experience
• Experiment with instrument for board bring-up (logic analyzer, scopes)

Education

MS or higher degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
