We are hiring a well qualified VLSI Principal engineer to lead chip development activities in Santa Clara.

Qualifications

• Lead chip development including specifications, architecture, design, synthesis, timing, and DFT implementation. Work with marketing and algorithm teams to define new products.
• Evaluate technologies and IPs for next generation products.
• Evaluate design options, scope out development work, and create and execute plans for chip development.
• Participate in pre-silicon and silicon validation and testing of products to insure on time and right first time silicon.
• Use your design expertise to establish best in class design practices and methodologies.
• Execute on development plans to insure time delivery.

Skills

• Demonstrated leadership and proven track record in delivering full chip from specifications to bring up and testing. Must have led multiple tape outs.
• Hands-on experience in all phases of semiconductor chip development including definition, micro-architecture, design, verification, DFT, synthesis, and timing closure.
• Must have directly worked on chip integration, I/O selection and I/O ring creation, and floor planning.
• Experience with design of video processing functions, video interface IPs and chips is a strong plus.
• Must have hands on experience with VLSI tools and with setting up their environment. Good scripting abilities are required.

Education

BSMS or higher degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree with 12+ years of relevant experience in chip architecture
